You can get Coke, bottled water, sandwiches, even toiletries from vending machines, but… GOLD?
A German company has a machine in the works that will dispense gold by the gram in gift boxes, starting at 1 gram for about $42 U.S. The first machines will be tested in that country over a three-month period, and if successful, rolled out to Asia, the Middle East, Great Britain, and the U. S.
But robbers shouldn’t even considered robbing the machines… they’re booby-trapped with dynamite.
A Canadian woman was busted for not holding the railing of an escalator in Quebec, Montreal yesterday. The police officer involved cautioned the woman, who did not obey, and was summarily handcuffed and detained for non-compliance.
This wasn’t a blatant act of civil disobedience, either. She was just trying to find change for the bus in her backpack when the incident occured.
So, when in Quebec… be careful… Apparently, this officer had nothing better to do.
Guess there’s no crime in Quebec. How lovely!

You aren’t going to believe this, but it’s true. The Chinese are constructing a “sex park” in Chongquing. They worry that the topic of sex is so taboo in China that peole need a way to find out healthy ways to indulge.
Unreal.
If the Chinese people are this under educated about sex, why are there more than a billion people there? How in the world did that happen? Alien abduction? Makes no sense.
But it’s true… reported by UPI, May 15, 2009.
May 18: As an epilogue, the park was demolished over the weekend, according to the Associated Press. Apparently, the Chinese had it all figured out. Who didn’t know that?
If you want to get high… move to Barcelona, Spain where the air is laced with…
Cocaine!
In a Metro.co.uk story, titled “Air in Spain is Laced with Cocaine” (May 14, 2009), it is reported that not only coke, but “amphetamines, opiates, cannabinoids and lysergic acid, a relative of LSD” lace the air.
The drawback all you hopeful is that you’d not get enough of that air to get you high in a thousand years. Hmm…
Thinking there must be a better way, eh?
