Sun Causes House Fire
A Bellvue, WA house sustained $215,000 in damages when a dog’s glass water dish (with water in it) channeled enough heat from sunlight to start a blaze on a wooden deck at the back of the house.
Moral of the story… use metal or plastic for the family pooch. Glass + sun = fire danger. As it happens, the glass acted as a magnifier, which caused the flames.
